Creatures of Sonaria is a wonderful ecosystem survival game, but the latest updates are confusing! Let's jump into the new mysterious updates this game has offered, what they do, and how you can access them, as well as a bonus creature at the end of the entry!
The new meteor crashing down has been revealed to be several alien species from another planet, which have come to Sonaria! This is an incredibly exciting new update, as a bundle of new creatures don't get added that often - it's usually monthly updates that add a singular new creature, while this update is adding several. The update does involve a new island known as the Shadow Isle - but we'll cover a little about that in a minute. Each meteor will land soon, bringing new cratures - currently, only one has landed, but more are to come!
The new elder features are incredibly exciting as the old elder system involved simply aging more, rather than giving any boosts or vulnerabilities. Now, the elder features have flexibility. You can choose to become a Gentle Elder, giving you a boost to ailment block, stamina, and HP regen; become a Powerful Elder, gaining more damage, but less speed and bite cooldown; or become a Devious Elder, with a boost to speed and bite cooldown at the cost of damage. Additionally, the Venerable stage has been added. This takes much, much longer to grow, and each Venerable stage requires an extra revive token to bring back the creature, but it does add a little more size and some interesting aesthetics to the Creature Stats Menu.
We don't know much about the Shadow Isle, where you can gain tokens for the new creature, but what we do know is rather hearbreaking - due to a new gambling feature at the Shadow Isle, only players old enough can go to the isle, meaning that anyone younger cannot get the new creature without trading. Given the fact that the creature is very expensive, at one million Shrooms, it's not going to go down in trade value for a very long time - meaning it's unlikely anyone under age will get the creature for a while, which is very annoying to younger players that want the new creature - personally, I think it's a very annoying feature that they should remove, or at least make a way that young players can get the creature. Other than that, the isle has a new shrine for the creature, as well as some pretty aesthetics that those allowed on it can explore.
Personally, I haven't been able to look at the new creature, but according to my source, veteran player Austin, the new creature looks cool but doesn't have very good stats. It is a new Artifact creature, requiring possible new tokens to unlock, but requires these tokens from the Shadow Isle. From the description my source gave me, the creature perhaps looks a little like a mantis, spider, or ant, but is quite large in size.
We aren't sure what's next, but we will keep you posted on any interesting updates that come out! Additionally in this entry, I'm going to share with you an incredibly interesting creature - Saikairie!
Saikairie is a small carnivore that has an interesting appearance and set of abilities. It's available via the Carnivore Gacha, making it common to recieve, but it's Invisibility and Life Leech make it a difficult opponent to kill, coupled with it's speed and Strength In Numbers boost. Aesthetic-wise, it has a cat-like appearance, but has feathers at the back and a white crest on the front, with no eyes. It has a large diamond symbol. It's primary colours are different purples, but white and black also make an appearance on the crest and feet, respectively. If you can get this creature or have it and haven't used it yet, I reccomend giving it a spin - it may be small, but it's fast and interesting to play as - you can really get close to some giants with this creature!
